Tracy Truong

Chef Tracy Truong took an unconventional path to the kitchen, first earning a university degree in science before following her passion for food to Algonquin College’s Culinary Management program. Her career has since spanned leading hotels and restaurants, culinary education, and senior leadership roles. Her experience includes Fairmont Château Laurier, Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, Andaz Hotel, and Algonquin College, where she taught as a Culinary Instructor. She later became the first female Restaurant Chef at Fairmont Château Laurier and is now Senior Executive Chef of Culinary Operations for Compass Group Canada at Shopify. Her cooking combines strong technique with approachable flavours, shaped by her Vietnamese roots, travels, and passion for putting a fresh perspective on familiar food.
